Conversion of existing Lloyds Bank Building to 24 luxury apartments
We were asked by Barrett Properties Limited to provide a complex scheme to convert the existing Lloyds Bank Building In Wellington in 24 contemporary apartments.
Converted the redundant space above the old Lloyds Bank Building. We re-instated the second floor as per the original building to create 10 contemporary apartments, whilst at the same time the existing building has been extended to the rear to provide a further 14 units with parking under. All with views towards the Wrekin.
Complex scheme, negotiations with planning and conservation officers, building control and structural engineers. Energy efficiency designed to fully comply with building regulations in respect of new dwellings.
The development of the site provides the opportunity to rationalise the arrangement of extensions and together with the change in roof design will create a more positive elevation towards the nearby Conservation Area.
